The Your Song Program infuses the power of Music Therapy with Personal Growth, transforming people through the power of their own song. Nez’s approach allows clients to express emotions in ways they didn’t know they could, by using their song as a vessel in moving forward.

At Zen Life Counselling we will provide you with the tools to write your chorus, representing new beginnings and your various verses being a letting go of the past. You will choose from an array of songs and in the process create your own story.

This is an opportunity to honour your individuality through your own song.

Initially produced as a dance track, Beautiful has been released as an acoustic version to speak to a wider demographic. To listen to the song is to come on a journey with Nez as she prevails over  oppression and domestic violence.

While writing the song required Nez to go to a dark, vulnerable place, the finished work itself is a beautiful voyage of healing towards optimism and self-belief.

The exposed lyrics of Beautiful resonate with people from all walks of life who have endured personal struggle; people that Nez seeks to help daily in her work as a counsellor and life coach. Drawing from her own turbulent upbringing, Nez provides personal assistance to youth and adults going through individual and family conflict.

In addition to Beautiful, Even When It's Cold is an equally evocative song; a personal tribute to Nez's mother and others struggling around the world.
